Public Health
The philosophical conception of the Postgraduate Course in Nursing and Health aims to provide subsidies to underpin the profile of the master’s in health sciences, with an emphasis on Education, Health and Society, in an interdisciplinary perspective for the development of technical competence capable of producing knowledge for health care in a contextual, systemic and multidimensional manner for the local and regional population. The masters graduates from the Postgraduate Course in Nursing and Health should have the critical ability to evaluate health practices and public policies, and, the formulation of new proposals for the health of the population in defense of equal, universal, equitable rights and accessibility to comprehensive care in the life cycle. Thus, the objective of the course is to promote the development of critical-reflective competencies for human health care practices in their life cycle based on theoretical-methodological references, contextualized in the local reality of the population in their process of living human in a contextual, systemic and multidimensional way.
