COURSE STRUCTURE

The PGQUI current curriculum serves the main areas and sub-areas of knowledge included in the Program, offering the following mandatory disciplines:  Advanced Analytical Chemistry I, Advanced Analytical Chemistry II and General Seminar in Chemistry. The Program also offers mandatory disciplines that are complementary to advising, such as Oriented Research I, II, III and IV. For grant students, professor internship in graduate classes is mandatory under the supervision of a professor in a department linked to the PGQUI. The complementation of the minimum accreditation required for the defense by the master student is obtained through optional disciplines, generally chosen to provide the student with a solid background in the area of research development. The optional disciplines offered until 2021 were:

  • In Silico Tools for the Identification of Targets and Molecules with Biological Potential;
  • Intellectual property;
  • Introduction to Phytochemical Methods;
  • Kohonen Artificial Neural Networks;
  • Liquid chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Applied to the Purification and Analysis of Natural Products;
  • Optical Analysis Methods;
  • Pre-Concentration Methods;
