In 2020, ppgeo became a Full Permanent Member of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences-CLACSO

expanding the internationalization capacity of the program through the direct participation of teachers and students in the Council’s working groups, with the possibility of teaching classes in courses offered by the Council, due to the possibility of exchanging PPGEO teachers and students, with other full Centers of Clascso in the different countries of Latin America and the world. in addition, it opens the possibility of inserting new students in the program through the direct connection of the program with the council or through open calls for proposals in common agreement between the council and the program.

Another achievement is the expansion of the capacity for insertion of intellectual production on both sides, on the one hand, the PPGEO, can publish directly in the scientific dissemination systems that Clacso has and, on the other, the other members of Clacso are able to directly publish the media. disclosure of PPGEO-UESB, is what is already happening, in 2020, two dossiers were published in a partnership of Geopauta magazine and the working groups of Clacso, Dossier CLACSO: Spacialities of black women in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa and Dossier : Feminist geographies of Sur Global, both published by the Gepauta magazine of the Uesb Graduate Program.
